popular drink. But when we cross the line of moderation and get into extremes, is when we can get into trouble.
One of the most common problems associated with excessive drinking beside the inherent health risks and lack of productivity would be its effect on the relationship with your partner. Heavy and prolonged drinking can cause some serious problems in your relationship.
Here are a few detrimental facts about how alcohol can ruin an otherwise normal relationship with your partner.

This is what too much alcohol does with your mind. You lose it. The immoderate amount of alcohol reduces your power of rationalizing. And this further leads to quarrels and arguments. The sane and logical thinking just goes off for a toss and this leads to unpleasant encounters with your partner, which may lead to some irrevocable differences in your relationship.
2) INFEDILITY
It’s quite common to find that someone stuck with an alcoholic will look for emotional support outside of his or her marriage. Sometimes alcoholism can lead to physical and verbal abuse. An alcoholic is quite capable of making selfish demands, disrespecting and disregarding the needs of their partner. The one putting up with an alcoholic may seek emotional and loving support outside of their marriage, which may turn into a physical affair as well.

They can have difficulty getting pregnant and it can cause be of a serious harm to the baby if they are already pregnant or even nursing the baby.

For those who are addicted to alcohol, money usually means that they get their fill of the day. In a lot of cases, they put buying alcohol even before buying food. In such cases, the family suffers the most. It usually puts the family into financial scarcity and a lot of times leaves them in heavy debt. Prolonged alcoholism can wipe out savings and leads to financial meltdown as an alcoholic will have problems keeping a job.
5) TROUBLED SEX LIFE
Over indulgence in alcohol for a longer period of time can do some serious harm to your sex life. Besides putting stress on and hampering organs like the liver and the heart, it can also hinder with the ones involved in sex. A lot of times it can lead to difficulty getting and maintaining erection in men. And can even lead to dryness in women. In fact, perpetual, excessive drinking can lead to full blown impotence.
6) DIVORCE
The cases of divorce due to alcohol abuse are on the rise. The days when women suffered abuse from their alcoholic husband in silence are going away and rightly so. As the social stigma attached to divorce reduces in our society so does the number of women willing to stay in a marriage with an alcoholic.
So it’s important that you create a balance between enjoying a drink or two or going overboard. Whenever an indulgence is concerned, moderation is the key. Don’t let excessive gratification damage your relationship in any way. Don’t let alcohol get the best of your precious relationships
