Central Banks: Monetary policy reviews are planned in Australia, India, Poland, Romania, and Iceland. The Bank of Japan’s influential quarterly Tankan survey of corporate conditions and expectations will be published, and so will a summary of this month’s BOJ Board meeting. A slew of Fed officials with public speaking engagements next week features Chairman Powell and Vice Chairman Quarles and also includes Rosengren, Barkin, Evans, Bowman, Williams, Bullard, George, Harker, and Clarida. Governor Lowe and Assistant Gov Ellis of the Reserve Bank of Australia, Tenreyro of the Bank of England MP Committee, and Bank of Japan Board member Funo also speak next week.

Manufacturing: China, Japan, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, South Korea, the Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, Euroland, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Sweden, Greece, the Netherlands, Ireland, Norway, Russia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Great Britain, Turkey, Canada, Mexico, Brazil and the United States. Private or non-oil PMIs for South Africa, Singapore, Lebanon, and Hong Kong. Construction PMIs to cover Euroland, France, Germany, Italy, Australia and the U.K.. Service sector PMIs for Australia, Japan, Euroland, Germany, Italy, France, Ireland, Italy, Spain, India, Russia, the U.K. and United States. Non-manufacturing PMIs for China and the United States.

Scheduled U.S. Economic Statistical Releases: Unemployment, non-farm payroll jobs, hourly earnings, motor vehicle sales, factory orders, trade deficit, Dallas Fed manufacturing index, Chicago and New York (NAPM) regional PMIs, construction spending and ADP estimate of private employment growth. Weekly jobless insurance claims, chain store sales, mortgage applications, energy inventories and consumer comfort.

Japanese Data: Industrial production, retail sales, unemployment, motor vehicle output and sales, housing starts, construction orders, consumer comfort and the monetary base.

Selected Other Asian Indicators Getting Released Next Week: Malaysian and Filipino producer prices. Indonesian, Thai and South Korean consumer prices. South Korean retail sales and industrial production. Thailand’s trade balance.

Euroland: Unemployment, CPI, PPI and retail sales.

Members of the Euro Area: German, Italian, and Spanish consumer prices. German, Greek, and Portuguese retail sales. Austrian and Cypriot producer prices. German and Italian unemployment. Austrian current account and Spanish GDP.

U.K. and Switzerland: British quarterly GDP and current account and monthly M4 money growth, shop prices, car sales, and Nationwide housing price index. Swiss retail sales, CPI, and index of leading economic indicators.

Nordic Europe: Icelandic producer prices and Norwegian retail sales.

Eastern Europe: Hungarian and Romanian producer prices. Hungary’s trade balance.

Australia and New Zealand: Australian and New Zealand building permits. Australian money and credit growth, trade balance, and retail sales. New Zealand business confidence.

South African and Turkish Data: South African money growth and credit expansion. South African and Turkish trade balances. Turkish CPI and PPI.

Canada and Brazil: Canadian monthly GDP, trade balance, and IVEY-PMI index. Brazilian industrial production.
