It has been a little more than a week since the Floyd Mayweather vs Conor McGregor fight was announced for August 26, 2017. Hotel prices on the Las Vegas Strip immediately skyrocketed. Rates seem to have settled down in the past few days.
Below is a list of prices one can expect to pay for a room on the weekend of the fight. Some tourists looking to go to Las Vegas that weekend are speculating that they will be able to get tickets as they have not gone on sale yet. Others are just looking to go to a fight party, make a bet, and be a part of the atmosphere.
Most Las Vegas Strip hotels require a two-night stay on that weekend. Guests will either need to stay on the Friday or Sunday, in addition to the Saturday night of the fight. Some hotels are not offering Saturday check-in at all.
Las Vegas Strip Hotel Not Requiring Two-Night Stay
The hotels around the Las Vegas Strip that will permit guests to stay just one night are listed below. The first rate is for Saturday, August 26. The rate in parenthesis is for the previous Saturday to compare the inflation that hit Las Vegas hotel prices for the Mayweather-McGregor fight. The rates do not include the resort fee. This is typically $30-$40 each night. Casino Royale does not have a resort fee.

MGM Grand wants $799 for a room on fight night while at the same time requiring a $399 Friday night stay. This does not include resort fee or taxes, which add about $200 to the total stay. To put that into perspective, MGM Grand is asking $445 for New Year’s Eve, which is typically the night with the highest demand of the year.
Cosmopolitan is asking $850 for an August 26 stay. It is the most expensive entry level room we found.
