About once a day I find myself explaining about hymens… about how they are not a full–on piece of skin covering the entire opening in the vagina that gets “torn through” the first time you have sex. Once and for all I wish someone would explain a vagina in a way a regular person could understand it!
Well “someone” just did. Take a look at this video and see what you think. I think they did a terrific job. One caveat… I think they made it a bit oversimplified. More often than not there are “balloons” in the way (I’m sorry. You’ll just have to watch this to see what I mean) the first time you have sex and really, that does hurt… and it’s nobody’s fault. So, go ahead and watch!
And maybe finally, you will understand hymens a bit better.
