Love at first sight – real or a delusion?
The idea of ‘love at first sight’ belittles the idea of love itself. Infatuation, fascination, or ‘that spark’ at first sight is something that I believe definitely ignites the fire. Love itself is much more than something you could ever feel ‘at first sight’.

What do you value in a partner?
Above anything else, understanding. I also love a woman who is passionate and thoughtful.
What is your top travel tip?
Get advice from people that actually live in the areas you want to visit. There’s nothing like seeing a new city through the eyes of a local.
What’s your favourite restaurant?
Le Petite Maison in Mayfair – the best steak I’ve ever had in my life.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
Become better by learning from your mistakes instead of dwelling on them.

Real! With some people you just click instantly but don’t always know why.
What are you best at?
Sitting with friends and family and listening – usually with a cup of tea or a glass of red wine. I was once told that we learn more by listening than talking; I know that to be true as I get older.
What item can’t you live without?
My notebook – I’m constantly jotting things down that I don’t want to forget!
What do you value in a partner?
Someone who has both the wit to make me laugh and the ability to bring out the very best in me.
What is your top travel tip?
Leave plenty of time for coffee breaks in lovely local places you are sure to stumble upon. Then sit back, relax, and take it all in.

Clos Maggiore in Covent Garden. Deliciously romantic.
